About Jane Font

I am a self-taught artist working in acrylic, oil, and watercolor. I also have a bit of experience with colored pencils and watercolor pencils, pastels (soft and oil), embroidery, and paper crafts. I’ve kind of dabbled in everything! I owned and operated Pandemonium Art Gallery in Ogden, Utah, for four years. During that time, I learned all of the things it takes to keep a small business afloat, as well as art curation, marketing, community involvement, and more. I also served on my city’s arts advisory committee for three years. I started a very successful paint party business but ultimately turned my instructional efforts to YouTube, where I ran Painting with Jane for nearly six years. While making videos, I had to learn all of the ins and outs of video recording, editing, processing, social media promotion, website building, and a whole bunch of other stuff involved in running a successful YouTube channel. I also developed my own line of paint brushes!

Before my foray into the art world, I worked in corporate America and facilitated extensive new-hire training classes. As part of that job, I had to take several training courses myself to understand how adults learn and how to teach them. It was during these years that I discovered my passion for teaching, and it’s ultimately what put me on the path I’m on today!

When I’m not working with you in private coaching sessions, I’m focusing on improving my own art and learning absolutely everything I can! You can never learn too much, and no matter how advanced you are, there’s always something new to learn, some new goal to reach for, something new to experience and do. I firmly believe that the enjoyment is in the journey, not in the destination. Every day, there’s something new to learn and experience. That’s why being an artist is the most fun, exciting, and fulfilling job I can think of, and exactly why I want to share it with you.

Today, my passion is helping individuals learn and grow so they can meet their personal and artistic goals. My goal is to take all of the knowledge and experience I’ve gained and share it with as many people as I possibly can. The world can only be a better place for having more artists in it!
